RhinAer® Procedure

The RhinAer® Procedure is a non-invasive treatment option for patients who suffer from moderate to severe chronic rhinitis.

Unlike medications and sprays, which offer temporary symptom management, this new option disrupts the underlying nasal signals and provides lasting relief without surgery.

RhinAer

Who are RhinAer® patients?

The RhinAer Procedure is clinically indicated for:

  • Patients with moderate to severe chronic rhinitis, post-nasal drip, congestion, and/or chronic clearing of the throat
  • Allergy immunotherapy patients with continued drainage
  • Nonallergic chronic rhinitis patients
  • FESS patients with uncontrolled rhinitis

Symptoms of Chronic Rhinitis

Chronic rhinitis results in a persistently runny nose and often post-nasal drip, nasal congestion, coughing, itching, and sneezing. While some symptoms may be related to allergies, symptoms from chronic rhinitis may occur all year.

How does the RhinAer Procedure work?

Your ENT physician will first apply local anesthesia to numb the inside of your nose and make the treatment virtually painless. Your physician will then insert the small

rhinitis

RhinAer wand into your nostril. Using low-temperature radiofrequency (RF) energy from its tip, RhinAer precisely targets and calms down the overactive nerves, helping to reduce the production and flow of unwanted mucus. RhinAer can also help shrink inflamed soft tissue in your nose to help relieve congestion. The best part? Once the treatment is done, you can get on with your regular day with minimal to no downtime.

Benefits of the RhinAer Procedure

The RhinAer Procedure offers several benefits to patients including

  • Non-invasive Solution. Minimal discomfort, no incisions, and can be performed in your doctor’s office.
  • Live Better. Clinical studies show that patients treated with the RhinAer procedure reported significant improvements in their symptoms and quality of life.
  • Quick Recovery. Patients typically return to normal activity on the same day.
  • Lasting Relief. Clinically proven to provide lasting relief of symptoms including runny nose, post-nasal drip, and chronic cough–96% of patients demonstrated improved symptoms.

RhinAer Procedure Effectiveness

Clinical results from the prospective, multi-center pivotal clinical trial of RhinAer demonstrated meaningful benefits to patients. In the study, 96 percent of patients treated with RhinAer reported an improvement in their rhinitis symptoms at 6 months, with symptoms improving on average by 61 percent. There were no serious device-related adverse events, and the procedure was generally well-tolerated. Notably, significant improvements were demonstrated for the most bothersome chronic rhinitis symptoms, runny nose, and post-nasal drip.
